There was a song a few years back where the band was singing about typical song structure. They were singing about having a start, having a chorus, having a key change, repeating lines, having an end etc.
Anyone know the one I'm talking about?

could you give more details? Was it in the charts? Can you remember any of the lyrics at all? what did the band look like?

Pretty sure it wasn't in the charts, or at least didn't get very high. I'm still trying to remember it clearly, all I can really say is that is was a rock or punk group and the lyrics were literally along the lines of "now we sing a chorus and then we repeat" and "now for a key change to keep interest.." etc.
If I could remember any more than that I'd probably have found the song by now. lol
Was probably just some small band (or even a local one) that never made it big, I can't be sure. I just put this out there in case anyone else knew of it.
maybe it was a spoof song you saw on a sketch show? Smack the pony used to do one at the end of their show. Or spitting image, the comic strip or similar?
