Whats your favourite cover or acoustic version of a song ?
I'm really into Radio 1's Live Lounge CD's at the minute and really like different versions of songs.. got any you recommend ?

My favourites at the minute are Sam Sparro covering Estelles American Boy, The Killers cover of Dire Straits Romeo & Juliet and Steeleye Spans The Black Freighter - a pretty clever & unique reworking of Pirate Jenny as done by Nina Simone !

:)
I always thought Gun's rock version of Word Up was a brilliant cover, but you rarely hear it mentioned when this topic comes up.
Check out the Musique de Paris Derniere albums. 6 volumes, all covers. Some by popular artists, some I've never heard of, but the covers are all good and sometimes surprising.
