downloaded a film in two parts

i just downloaded an italian film but it has come in two parts (cd1 and cd2) i have also just downloaded english subtitles which typically came in two sets aswell!.

can someone pleaaase tell me how to put all these parts together so i can watch the film in one.

the subs are .srt - i have put them in the folder with cd1 and cd2 and renamed them to cd1.srt and cd2.srt but when i watch the film(either cd1 or cd2) they are either out of sync or not playing.

can i somehow put the 2 parts of subs together and the two parts of the film together?

any help and/or advice will be appreciated
