I am perfectly calm thank you Legend, but an original anything can never be a version. Your understanding of the English language is sadly negligible, but never mind - no doubt your Gaelic is better than mine.
Buckley's death is a great loss to the music industry, as you say, Chuck. He was a brilliant songwriter too.

After a spot of goggling ive now discovered that the original version of leonard cohens halelujah had 15 verses but he only recorded 4 .
Later john cale in 1991 recorded the version that was used in the shrek movie and wasnt actually sung by rufus wainwright in the movie but by john cale.
John cales version was then covered by jeffbuckley.
So the version we are hearing today is less than a third of the original version which leonard cohen wrote.
In fact the original recorded version by cohen with 4 verses isnt the version he sang live , as apparently he alternated different verses from the original 15.
So hope thats cleared that up about the many versions of the song ?
