"Blame it all on my roots, i showed up in boots, and ruined your black tied affair. The last one to know, the last on to show I was the last one you thought you'd see there. CAUSE I GOT FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES WHERE THE WHIDKEYS DRY AND THE BEER CHASES MY BLUES AWAY, BUT I'LL BE OK.................
Y EAH, I'M NOT BIG ON SOCIAL GRACES THINK I'LL SLIP ON DOWN TO THE OASIS, HONEY I'VE GOT FRIENDS IN LOWER PLACES."

I would direct you to Gordon Lightfoot's 'If You Could Read My Mind Love' for a similar rush, and of course to Dionne Warwick's 'Walk On By', which, through its lyric, arrangement, and interperetation, is in my totally unhumble opinion, the finest pop song ever written.
