1988 Little Dorrit
9 Answers
I know that a film was made of 'Little Dorrit' in 1988 starring Derek Jacobi. I have a vague memory of it being adapted as a tv series.
Can anyone confirm this? I've looked and looked, but can't find any reference to it. Strange. Maybe i'm quite wrong.

The reason I know is my Mum was persevering with that awful (really, really bad) version the BBC recently did and we flicked onto Sky and the film you mention was on.
You'll probably find it on IMDB or Wikipedia

Further to your question:~
It was actually made as (2 part, see below) TV production, because it was so long.I remember because I watched it.Actually, being made in 2 parts,it made more sense than the recent dramatisation.
Then the two parts were joined together and released as a film.
Little Dorrit Part 1: Nobody's Fault
Little Dorrit Part 2: Little Dorrit's Story
