Im after a code for a ford radio

SERIAL M130065

In the motoring section - there are often requests for people asking for radio codes. While I accept that people do lose their codes and may need to find out what it was. The practice of giving out these codes without any further checks is irresponsible and could be aiding illegal activities. It would be easy to find codes for stolen radios by this method.
Unless there can be some way of checking that the radio in question is not stolen - then the practice of giving out radio codes should be banned from this site

With respect to the help you have given to gingerrrr69 Eddie, too many people come on this site with the same Qs, I used to give out codes Gladly until some Bsd broke into my wife's car & stole a CD that had been in the car for a week, Myself have bought off EBay a disk or two for under a �10 this is to help my friends & friends alone, It would be a great shame that through this site a code had been give & resulting that the site MAY BE PROSECUTED. I would agree with Tubeway, Its time that the Editors of this site took this stance & as soon as a request comes in regarding radio codes that the person advised that their Requested will be deleted as not to get this site a bad press, I hope you have not taken offence by my reply, as offence was not intended only help to them unfortunate people that have worked hard to pay for a �200 Radio only to get some Rsole steal it & request the code on a site like this, its up to us lot to stop this practice.

I agree with you guys that asking and reciving codes on here could well be helping radio thefts.... is there not a way to tell what the radio is from the model??? i know there may not be ... but come on would i steal or even want to steal a ford escort radio that is a tape player and half the size of the dash board, I know tape players are very rare nowadays!! anyway
