recording to an mp3 payer (cowan d2)

this may seem a very simple question but how do you record from a computer to an mp3 player. I purchased a cowan iaudio d2. which came with a usb connector. but when i connect it it just charges the battery. I dont seem to be able to record onto the player. can someone help please, the insructions are not helpful.

1.Go to My computer and open the USB window - it may be shown as a flash disk.

2.Open My Music window

You have 2 windows open

Now left klik mouse and slide music tracks to flash disk.
