I just had problems with my Soulseek, where it wouldn't connect, hung on launch and 'crashed' whilst scanning my files. I then realised it thought I was wanting to share my entire computers contents - all 88,000 files!
Try going to the folder where Soulseek is installed on your computer. Delete the file called "shared.cfg". This is the file that contains the database of the files you want to share.
After you delete it, you'll be able to download, but you won't be sharing any files to other users - not really in the spirit of things. But you can re-assign the folder you want to share again in Souleek's preferences, if you so wish.
Good luck.
