Downloading Facebook albums to a laptop
2 Answers
I currently have a grandson doing his gap-year abroad and who sends me links to his Facebook photo albums.
So far so good ....but I would like to preserve these excellent pics to my laptop. I can of course download them individually - but there are HUNDREDS of pics! Is there any prog. that will download whole albums? I tried one album downloader but then realised it was for Firefox and I am still using Windows XP prof.. The other one I stumbled across was Facedown and it has currently been banned by Facebook...heaven knows why. Has anybody out there got any suggestions please?

It is going to take time to download lots of photos whichever way you do it
Facedown is banned because of copyright issues. You may not have the owners permission to make copies of their photos.
The quickest way is to ask your grandson to burn the photos to a cd or dvd for you.

Thanks for your quick response. Silly me - must be brain dead after downloading all those pics....of course I typed the wrong thing ...I just have not gone down the Firefox route - nor want to! However - when I tried the albumn downloader prog - it just did not work and I had to resort to the single ..save pic as.. method....very tedious. As for the grandson burning them to a CD...he doesn't even have a laptop with him and is doing it all on his phone...in the middle of nowhere with no facilities what so ever!!! The things these youngsters get up to nowadays. Anyway - thanks again for your rapid response...I guess it is back to the save pic as mehthod!!
