After reading some articles bout his contribution to the album pet sounds and seeing him on tv recently I have become enthralled by his musical talent and his life could anyone suggest a good book about his life and all...... thanks.

I read 'I Just Wasn't Made For These Times - Brian Wilson and the making of Pet Sounds' by Charles L. Granata which Is the same book under a different title that ursula62 has in her answer, under 'Wouldn't it be nice...'

It's very good.

I would also suggest that you buy (if you haven't already) 'The Pet Sounds Sessions' 4 CD box set (HMV have them on sale at the moment) which has all the tracks remastered in both mono & stereo + sessions, backing tracks & out-takes etc. and why stop there - the 'Good vibrations' 5 CD box set is a very good greatest hits package.
