Philadelphia Experiment???

Does anyone remember the film Philadelphia Experiment - set during 2nd world war - time travel - navy officers sent into future - I must have been a teen and fell in love with the lead actor and Angie Dickinson from Robocop was his love interest

I remember it (and it's somewhat less interesting sequel). It was supposed to be based on a real experiment the Navy conducted and then hushed up.

 

Nancy Allen (from "Robocop") was the love interest, though - Angie Dickinson is probably best known as Sgt Pepper Anderson in "Police Woman" and is almost 30 years older than "Philadelphia Experiment" star Michael Par�.

Just remembered: Nancy & Angie were both in Brian de Palma's "Dressed to Kill".

It was Nancy Allen I meant - saw her face and all - but they both have red hair - and I never knew it even had a sequel - what was that called if you know LeMarchand

The sequel was titled (with great originality) "The Philadelphia Experiment II", and was made 9 years later. None of the cast return, though the main character is supposed to be the same guy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107819/

yeah good film and very poor sequel (as nearly 99% of sequels are!)
