Years ago I had an old 78 record called 'The Hippopotamus', the lyrics went:
'Oh The hip hip hip o potamus,
he's a clever fellow in his way,
he can stay,
so they say,
underneath the water for half a day'

I'd love a copy of this, any ideas where I might find it?

Sorry, that's not the one. I'm aware of the Flanders and Swan son about Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud. The one I'm after is a different one.
All I can find is the Flanders and Swan one, and "All I want for Christmas is a hippopotamus."

Will have a search though.

Thank you,
the last verse goes:

'Oh The hip hip hip o potamus,
He's a clever fellow in his way,
But the whole bloomin' lot of us,
Can beat the hippopotamus,
He can't Hip Hip Hooray!
