What a horribly depressing list.  I guess I'd have to pick the lesser of ten evils and go with Scissor Sisters.  That's my preference.  However, the actual winner will be Will Young or Maroon 5.
I think the actualy winner will be Bryan McFathead or Busted, I'd like Will Young or Natasha Beddingfield to win I guess, but that doesn't mean I like them.  Just making the best of a bad situation!

Mcfathead nice ;-p

I would like Natasha, marron 5, Katie melua or the scissor sisters to win. Preferably not busted or mcfly as they do my nut in but they probably will get it

the record of the year is mr brightside by the killers
Its getting worse every year! 'd like Maroon 5 or Katie Melua to win. Natasha Bedingfield should win 'most annoying song of the year!

Oh dear God it's awful.  This is the worst award since the Celebrity Awards on ITV (couldn't be anywhere else could it?)  Of the lot, probably Katie Melua, but only cos she plays a guitar and is really fit. oh and she did a good cover of lovecats at the Brits.

Maroon 5 or Scissor Sisters

Although I don't mind some of those songs, I would have to say Katie Melua should win.  I can see why the Marron 5, Katie Melua and perhaps Scissor Sisters songs are in that list...but not the others! Why Thunderbirds?!

I'd like maroon 5 or Katie Melua to win off that list. The lesser of the evils! Jesus Christ, what a sorry state we are in when that is the list to pick from for best song....

These are the best songs of the year??  Good lord, stop the world, I wanna gerroff'

Record of the year my arse - what a crap listing.   Well out of the list I would chose Scissor sisters Laura

Bedingfield willl win
Still, this list may horrific but I can't think of any one song that I would call the song of the year.  Most of the best stuff I've bought this year was released before 2004.  Been a bit of a crap year for music really.  Can anyone think of anything that really deserves to be named best song of the year?
What about Eric Prydz - Call on me??? How long did that spend at the top of the sales charts and its an achievement when not many tunes of that genre spend more than a week at the top.
What a terrible list, this makes me very sad. There are some all right artists but I agree with Astrobeltit is truly depressing. If I could choose an alternative, I think I would go with either Snow Patrol - Run, or Keane - Somwhere Only We Know, proper artists with emotionally charged songs. Hey what do we know?, the charts are a farce these days, look at Led Zepplin, very rarely released a single but are considered One of the biggest selling, most influential bands of all time, and of course the mighty Pink Floyd. These bands never bothered with charts, but are still, decades later still talked about as pioneers in music. Oh my god, I think I want to go and kill myself, has no one any taste in music any more. Eric Prydz - Call on me what the hell are you taking about??????.............it is not even an original song!!!!!!, hey if we all took a classic song and sampled it and put some dodgy lyrics over it accompined with a video full of women wearing next to nothing, Im sure we could all have a number one hit. There, finished, rant over, stay calm and relax. Anyone feel the same???
I'd like it to be Natasha bedingfield but i can see it more likely to be Will Young.
Yeah I feel the same, bag of sh1te!
Just cos it stayed in the charts - does not mean its good. I work for a record shop and know who buys things like Eric Prydz - yes it was catchy and did sell well but what age group buys the most singles???   Impressionable teens

Hmmm. Out of that lot, I'd go for either Maroon 5 or Scissor Sisters (so that's them jinxed then). It'll probably go to either Busted or Busted Junior (McFly).

Still, like most awards, it's utterly meaningless, so I'm not going to get too irked.

I would like Maroon 5 to win. The list is kinda bad init. I hope they win.
