Does he like me or not? Help please

I'm 14 and I have a dilemma. I like this guy A, who happens to be a total jerk. A couple days ago we were out with some friends and he kept looking at me and smiling at me, and we sat together and he called me 'my bad girl' and hugged me. Then he said I'm making fun of D (his good friend who also likes me) and he's so proud of me. And then he said I might be making fun of him too. Later on he took D and went for a walk with him and I think they were talking about me. When they came back I was talking to this guy and A shouted "Dude, you like her too?!". When i left he gave me a big tight bear hug. Then yesterday we went to my place to watch the Titanic. He didn't say a word to me, not even looked at me. When the movie ended my friend and I were crying and he just smiled at my friend and called her silly, without looking at me even once. He hugged everyone but me before leaving. I know that his idea about relationships used to be that they're simply not healthy, you always break up with the girl in the end and can't stay friends although she might be a great person. So he used to just stay friends with the girls he liked and keep it to himself. Until like 2-3 weeks ago when he posted on his blog that he has an exception for his relationship rules, he met a great girl that he likes a lot and life is great. And I don't think that's me. But he never brings her out when we meet with our friends and I don't think it's that serious. So do you guys think he likes me or he's just messing around? And if he's messing around, how do I get him to like me?

Don't mean to be harsh but you say yourself that he is a jerk so why woul dyou wnat him? He seems like a total ar$e to me posting on his blog he likes a girl! it could be anyone not necessarily you and if it was you he is going all the wrong ways about showing it!!

Sounds like you're a little obsessed with liking this guy but he doesn't sound worth it to me let him do whatever he wants but not scare off other guys put him in his place and find someone worthy and mature!!

She is only 14!!..give her a chance folks. Besides.....she has the typical female tendency to over-analyse.

Just go with the flow hun...if he does like you 'that way', then he will soon show it if given the opportunity. Meanwhile-there are plenty of other guys about...show him that he's not the only one.
