Could they be;'Your the one that i want' from grease,'Everything i do'from that robin hood film with Kevin Costner,Prince of thieves, and 'Love is all around' from 4 weddings and a funeral.?
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves would be one (Everything I Do, I Do It For You - Bryan Adams). Also, Love is All Around by Wet Wet Wet from Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Technically, the 3 longest serving at no 1 are I Believe (total of 22 weeks), Unchained Melody (total of 18 weeks) & Everything I Do (17 tortuous weeks in a row).

Unchained Melody was from Ghost, Everything I Do from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves but I can't think of any movies featuring I Believe.

They are - Love Is All Around (Wet Wet Wet - Four Weddings and a Funeral)....... Everything I Do, I Do It For You (Bryan Adams - Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves)...... I Willl Always Love You (Whitney Houston - The Bodyguard)

In no particular order

Oh dear, let's be anal about this.

18 weeks in total (non-consecutive) - I Believe, by Frankie Laine: no film connection

18 weeks in total (non-consecutive) - Unchained Melody, by 4 different artists: was not from a film originally but of course is now connected with Ghost

16 weeks (consecutive) - Everything I Do, by Bryan Adams: from Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves

15 weeks (consecutive) - Love Is All Around, by Wet Wet Wet: from Four Weddings And A Funeral

14 weeks in total (non-consecutive) - Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen: not from a film but did feature much later in Wayne's World

11 weeks (consecutive) - Rose Marie, by Slim Whitman - not sure if this was a film aswell..?

Therefore, 10 weeks for I Will Always Love You (The Bodyguard) doesn't even count.

Whoever said this statement on C4 wants to check their facts first!!

For reference (OK, also being anal!) Rose Marie was a film (actually I think there were 2 films) of the stage musical.

I suppose you could argue that Love Is All Around wasn't from Four Weddings either - it was a minor hit for the Troggs in 1967 & then covered by Wet Wet Wet in 1994.

If you look at the longest runs at number 1 without interruption, there are only three longer than ten weeks in a row:

Bryan Adams - 16 weeks

The Wets - 15 weeks

Slim Whitman - 11 weeks

All three of these were in films.  I'm pretty sure that that's what they're referring to.
