Yorkshire Live Music Venues

Next Friday to Monday I'm staying in North Yorkshire about 20 miles from Scarborough and Whitby and about 35 miles from York. On a weekend we like to go see bands around the local pubs but are having problems tracking down any around that area. I've tried to trace a local gig guide(this type of thing. www.norfolkgigguide.com), and been on the web for local entertainment pages but without sucess. We're looking for bands that play some or a mix of the following, rock n roll, 60s,70,s 80, etc or general get up and party tunes. We'd prefer if there was room to shake a leg on the dance floor. We don't mind if it's a local social club etc and have to cough up a guest fee. (last night we drove to an ex servicemens club 35 miles away to see a band). If anyone can point us towards a guide or know of any bands your help would be appreciated.
