Blank Disc's will not record HELP please

I bought recently Blank CD-R s I have tried to record on to them ,all my music and spoken word is from a reliable source ,also part of my personal collection .
The disc's are MAXELL CR-R XL 1180 80 minutes for Music any ideas please ,i am drowning in disc's ,my head is about to explode.

Seems like what you are attempting to record onto are what's known as 'Pro Discs'.These can be used on any
computer.It's very easy to purchase the 'wrong' type.You should look for Cds with consumer audio applications
stated on the pack,or something to that effect.
