Hi all you lovely peeps, you!!!
Does anyone know how I can find or track my neighbours who rented the house next to me for about 6 months or so but moved about a week ago? I only know first names but i'm pretty sure they've stayed living in the same town. I know the vocation of one of them (trainee police officer) and that's about it! I need to know as I think they 'accidentally' have taken my cat with them! (ahem!) I just want to know she's safe, at the very least, and i'm at my wits end wondering what's actually happened to her as i've had her since she was a kitten (she's now 14) and love her dearly. She's always been a favourite with all my neighbours, past and present, as she has a very friendly nature and they cant resist letting her in and giving her 'treats' (not that she needs them! lol) and you cant stop a cat 'being a cat' and I didnt mind as it's good she gets fuss from other people too as i've had 3 kids in the last 4 years which has meant she hasn't had the same amount of attention as normal, obviously.....but you still dont expect people to 'adopt' (using the term very lightly!!) a moggy when they know full well she's looked after and can hear me calling to her daily at dinnertime etc.
Sorry, verbal diarrhoea has stopped now lol. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Kind Regards,
Andrea :0)

The only thing that I could think of is if they were friendly with any neighbours around you? (I'd be livid if someone "adopted" my cat!) or maybe you could find out if their post was being re-directed? Do you know where the trainee police officer was working? Hi bld767 :0) Thanks very much for your reply!!!!!!! They were friendly with my other neighbours but those neighbours are 'salt of the earth' people and I wouldn't want to tell them that I think the old neighbours 'adopted' my cat as they wouldn't believe it of them and wouldn't want to get involved etc cos they see the best in everyone. Will the post office tell me the re-directed mail address? Is there something I can say to make it easier for the royal mail to give me their address? I think the trainee PC might've been working in the same town but i'm loathed to go there till I have their new address and see for myself if they've got my cat as it would tip them off as the police might close ranks, as it were.....I know, sceptical of me but I just want my cat back without them moving it to a relatives/friends and then i've no hope of seeing her again!
Any other suggestions greatly appreciated too!

hi andrea ,they may not have stolen your cat i think it would be a good idea to go to the police though incase (heaven forbid )she is in a box that they havent unpcked and havent noticed when they were packing it there could be many exclamations why your cat is no longer there have you had a look inside the house next to you incase she is trapped hope you find her soon

Hi everyone, thankyou so much for all of your replies!!! It's very kind of you to take the time to help! :0) I spoke to my other neighbours but they only know their first names but did know that they've moved to the next town. It's still a big place though so cant go searching the streets, as much as I want too! They were married in the summer but I dont know which town they got married in but is there a place you can go to check who got married? Would that be at the library too, does anyone know? I guess my last hope is the electoral role to at least find a surname but they were only living there about 6 months so i'm not sure they'd even of had to fill in the forms. Sounds silly but do you think a private detective (do they even have them in england? lol) would get any results as i'm thinking of hiring one as the thought of not seeing my cat again breaks my heart. I've told the kids she's gone on a little adventure but i'm not sure how long I can make that ickle porkie run........
Again, any other suggestions greatly appreciated and thanks again to you lovely peeps who've replied already!!
