Have not seen it yet JJ, but there have been some good films in 2009 which I liked such as Public Enemies (Johnny Depp) and one which I watched the other night, 'The Hurt Locker' about Bomb Disposal squad in Iraq.
I must admit I was dragged along to a cinema in Brighton (cos it was raining) very reluctantly with the BF to see Star Trek, the beginning. I thought I would hate it. I must admit I loved it - though the soundtrack was far too loud for my tender ears.
If you want a good old chick flick weepy with good acting, though surprisingly not too much schmalz considering it's American - try My Sister's Keeper. Not for men, or those with hard hearts though!
Took me a while to get into Slumdog Millionaire, nearly put it off, hubby got it for his birthday last January and we only got round to watching it 2 nights ago, thought it was quite good but hubby picked up his paper
Come with me in the back row of the Odeon in Peterborough and watch the film" I was Monty's Double"....I will buy you an ice cream at half time and a fumble under your blouse during the second half.
