Sorry I didn't even finish typing that properly- you can't search for similar question already asked anymore?!

Yeah it's a difficult one to explain because there are dozens out there but this one is distinctive because of the cowbell or bells used in it... I don't know what they are but it's high-pitched and there's no echo as if hitting a piece of metal or glass. I think the sample is usually used as a break. It doesn't really sound that funk-y but it's upbeat.

Yeah I doubt this will be answered! I hope though...

got it through thinking about Massive Attack instead of Run DMC.

What a relief!
Can you give the name of a piece that contains the sample?
Maybe it's just the standard 808 cowbell?

I cant access any links whilst at work but it doesnt half sound like Take me to the Mardi Gras by Bob James which was famously sampled by Run Dmc with their track Peter Piper?
