Cleaning Grease of an Oak Table
3 Answers
I have a light oak kitchen table which we use all the time . There are a few grease spots on it, and a few faded places where I have tried to scrub it clean. Is there any product which will get rid of the grease stains ? I remember using a Cillit Bang once but can't remember which one - there are some you can't use on wood. Thanks all.

This might sound stupid, but I was advised to do this by a furniture restorer and it works ! Get some brown wrapping/parcel paper to cover the grease marks. Spread some talcum powder on the marks, cover with the paper and then iron using a WARM DRY iron (no steam !!). You will see the grease being drawn up into the paper. It really does work.
