Does anyone know whether Foo Foo Lamar's Nightclub in Manchester Picadilly is still open, I know the legendary Foo Foo has died and it was shut around the time of his death but dont know whether it re-opened?

I haven't been to Manchester since last year and saw no indication that the club was open at any time. The phone number is not listed with www.bt.com www.yell.com or the address is not registered with www.royalmail.com . It looks like it's gone. There is no business listed with http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/ under the name foo foo Lamarr or his real name of Frank Pearson.

The Manchester Evening News carried a story on 5th March 2002 with the headline "Farewell Foo Foo's". At a guess this is when it closed.

The venue was actually called Foo Foos Palace.I guess it's closed the phone number has been cut off.
