Our lollipop man for the wee kids around here is a gem, he waves to every car and bus that passes him, he knows every child by their name and always has a smile and a kind word for them, same with the parents and grandparents, so of the older kids at the local Comp has set up a" Isn't Jim mint" page on FB and it has had a couple of thousand hits already, I bet he would wave at the planes if they could see him..
what a lovely man and such a gentleman too.

People like that deserve every penny of their wages Bobbi. Not sure how much a Lollipop Man gets but it cannot be a great deal.

We have a local fella that retired years ago yet still goes out on his bicycle (the old fashioned variety) every day doing chores, shopping and collecting prescriptions for elderly people in the neighbourhood. He often goes out to the surrounding villages as well. He seems to know everybody and waves and smiles at us all. He must be about 80 himself now! He just doesn't age.
Did you not see my thread Bobbi? He's got me the ring :-))) We pick it up Friday and he picked all by himself :-)
