Perhaps advertisers simply don't want to pay for advertising at a time when some viewers will be falling asleep and others will either be throwing a party or throwing things at the telly?

I haven't lived for 87 years to start believing that politics(of the Westminser sort anyway) is anything but boring.
When you feel that you have no influence on any political decision etc(and it has been like that since I first voted in 1945) it DOES become boring.
At least when I first voted some MP's were in it because of what they could do to help people, now MP's are in it for what they can do to help themselves!
