Paul Simon's' 50 ways to leave your lover ' is the only song I have heard that includes the word 'misconstrued ', but I found that a K D Lang song also has this word in the lyrics.
Can any ABers come up with any words that are only used in the lyrics in one song , and no others ?

Julie London....Perfidia (betrayal of love)
Thanks for the correction Mark, you should be very proud of yourself for having a better knowledge of Spandau Ballet songs than I do.
You must having rubbing your little beard with glee at the chance to tell somebody they had something wrong.
Fillibuster in "birdhouse in your soul" by they might be giants
Only one 'l' in 'filibuster'...

"Vegemite" from Men at works down under

"Kilimanjaro" From totos Africa

(I can't believe I've just posted a reference to Africa by toto!!)

Without doubt the worst lyrics in the history of popular music, especially the second verse, apart from anything written by Jim Steinman, obviously...
opps, just spoted yingyang had already done the toto one.
Agreed BTW mark.
how about beastiality in commercial for levi - placebo

CH i'd be more concerned about referencing men at work - lol
Desperado..The Eagles
all the name checks
in John Ketley is a weatherman by tribe of toffs
What about songs which invent words? 'Matchstalk' didn't exist until Brian & Michael included it in their tribute to L S Lowry. I very much doubt that anyone else has found a use for it!
I think the name route is cheating a wee bit Johny :)

if we can't have filibuster how about Palindrome from "I Palindrome I" by they might be giants?

(they might be giants must have at least one unique word in one of their songs!)
circumcism
kenny everett snot rap
'Gertcha' fits into my idea of words invented (or at least written down for the first time) for a song. It also includes an unusual name check to keep Johnny happy. ('Lester Piggott'). On top of that it's got the wonderful 'cowson':

Great video to that song too Chris. (though I can't seem to find it!)
