this was a showhome so it was already nicely done, with fitting and curtain etc.
i wouldnt take anything that was fitted, apart from a semi fitted bed in wall thing that i have here (unless i sold it with house)

taking light bulbs seems a bit petty really.

Someone who viewed (didnt buy just viewed) my flat when for sale, took the bath plug!
I didnt take a thing as had brand new house and wouldnt want any stuff from my old flat in it

Couldnt believe what people would take, toilet seats,tv aerials, and trees and plants from the garden!
I once moved into a flat in an old house. The fireplace, Victorian cast-iron and tiles, to judge from the ones in the other flats , was missing.
The landlady told me the last tenants had taken it with them when they left.
i left all the curtains and a fridge in the flat when i left, purely because they fit awkward sizes in the flat and werent that easy to buy for in first place.
Why not take lightbulbs?

You may find in your new house that the previous occupant has done the same!

And the numerals from the door. You never know when they might come in useful.
but only if new house number is same as old one, eh?
oh, talking about plants, we took a cutting from a lavendar to plant in our new garden, but only a cutting, not the whole thing.

I was very tempted to take the fireplaces from my house. I was offered 3k for the one in my bedroom.

Dont know red, maybe it was her way at getting back at him!
same here, ummm. I had lovely fireplaces in my flat and old gas lamp fittings
I even had very old wallpaper, the hand painted sort, inside one cupboard.
I love stuff like that Red.

My house use to be bedsits so hadn't been updated until a builder brought it and converted it back. Meaning all the original features were still intact. It was built in 1890. Now I live in Gingers crap pit.....

Although I do have a really nice kitchen now...
The last time we moved we left every thing except the goldfish and koi out of the pond, and we told the purchaser that we would be taking them when they were looking over the house
no exact idea when mine was built, ummm, but was told the sash window style was circa 1840s

Shame it never remained as a big house.
Worst thing I came across was when outgoing owner sawed through the trunk of a mature climbing plant that covered the front of the house just to salvage a large terracotta pot.
Bar Stewards.
