Name That Tune?

Many years ago I heard a catchy tune while in Amsterdam, and I have never heard it since. It was set to an old classical piece, but it had been given a bit of a funky beat. It went something like this .....

"If I searched a thousand years, and I cried a million tears" ........ then there was some drum beating.

Dont know any more words. Anyone got any ideas please? Thanks a bundle.

There was a track from the mid 80's called Only For You by Louise Tucker. I had a copy that my younger brother ruined. The lyrics went something like. "If I searched a thousand years and cried a million tears. My heart, my hands, I'd give to the sands, but only for you."
