While helping my daughter tidy her loft in her new house, I found a Red, Vox White Shadow Electric Guitar which has "Made in Japan" on a chrome plate on the back.

I've tried music shops...different internet sites but  no-one can help me on it. Should I just dump it?

I asked my bf who knows his guitars quite well and he said they made some nice collectable guitars in the 1960s, but after that they pretty much just made rubbish.  So it sounds like you need to try and date the guitar first - I googled the name, but the only site I could find that might be of some help is this: http://www.cpts-test.com/tombenford/guitars.html.  Hope this is a bit of help.
Never dump anything you don't want before trying to flog it on ebay!!
Agree with Ursula, take some pics and put it up for auction on ebay to see if you get any interest.

Ask on this   http://www.guitarsrule.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=11&topicdays=0&start=0

site. Someone on there should be a ble to advise you.

thank you guys and gals. but now you see where i'm coming from with my original question

I'm surprised it says 'Made in Japan' on it as these were supposed to be made in Korea. Don't dump it, though. I'll buy it off you
Hi I've got a White Vox White Shadow, which also says MADE IN JAPAN, I found out they were made in the 70's. It sounds great and it's got great action too.
