Every time england fail at a tournament there is uproar in the media and fans calling for heads. Can people just realise that england are not all that good, they've done their best and they have done as good as they could. Get realistic about your team, at least you got to the world cup.

Its only the media who hype it up. Most England fans are aware that we didnt take a world beating team out with us. We gave lack lustre performances in all 4 games. Says something when we have 'belief' after beating Slovenia 1-0.

The English prem league is a victim of its own success, attracting world class foreign players at the cost of home grown talent.

I would like to see this tarnished rump end of the golden generation dumped and for the european cup in 2012 to be used to bed in a fresh young team I don't think it is unreasonable to look beyond the top clubs for talent either.....the lower leagues have provided a smattering of players for other countries and if a settled squad of young talent could get used to playing together on a fairly regular basis it probably wouldn't do any worse than the current bunch and might do a whole lot better
