The song what you waiting for was co written with the song writer linda perry, so I assume its original, as the song is about gwens personal insecurities about being a solo artist, plus the song is written in internal dialogue. in what you waiting for the line "Born to blossom bloom to perish" was taken from a No doubt song called beauty contest so shes used that line in two songs.
