The music in the Six Nations rugby trailers definitely is the same music as the theme tune for the film "The Elephant Man", but I have now been reliably informed by the resident classical music expert (IndieSinger) that it is not in fact "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber.
The credits at the end of the film merely say "Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber performed by Bla bla bla; other music performed by Bla bla bla", so I therefore presumed that "Adagio for Strings" was referring to the theme music at the beginning of the film, whereas it was in fact referring to one of the other bits of music in the film.
