Hi... hope someone kittenwise can help. We recently rescued a beautiful chocolate ragdoll female ( now named Lulu) When we went to pick her up , it was casually announced that she had a 'runt' kitten with her, which of course, we took home with us. He has now grown to a beautiful boy ( Sebastian-Marmaduke-smythe... we gave him a huge name , because he was so small ) Needless to say the woman we rescued from was attempting to be an 'illegal' breeder, Lulu and sebastian were half starved, dehydrated , covered with fleas, and riddled with worms. All of which, with time, we put right. Except Lulu got bigger.... and bigger... and bigger.... yep, she was pregnant.
Three weeks ago, she presented us with 7 little ragdollie kittens... one died almost straight away ( it was born poorly) and a week later one just faded away, which broke our hearts. Now we have five little chubby lovelies... ( ones smaller but I feed him/her to help out, so its healthy.... just a bit smaller ). They have thier own room, so Ive kept the light low when they were teeny, but now they are just begining to play ( which involves rolling on your back and sticking your toes in your mouth apparently ! ) so they are now handleable ( if there is such a word ! ) imagine my horror, when in daylight, I can now see they are all BOSS EYED ! .... Marty Feldman eat your heart out, these little guys are staring at thier own ears !!!!! IS THIS NORMAL ????
My vets lovely and says they are all healthy and fantastic... but Im loathed to drag the poor darlings in a cat cage all the way to the vets just to ask such a daft question !
I 'm hoping that someone out there with knowledge of raising feline fluffies can help me.... I shall make a youtube video later today.... if its normal it may help other shocked first time grandmothers ... I am crossing my fingers and holding my breath waiting for some advice !!
regards
Sue

I honestly don't know, but if you look at this link, a lot of the kittens look a little 'boss eyed'. If they are only 3 weeks old it may be to do with the spacing of their eyes - very young kittens tend to look a wee bit skelly anyway. As long as they can see fine I wouldn't worry too much about it. My old cat had a bulge in one pupil and she looked constantly cross eyed, but her vision was fine and it was very endearing (I called her skelly Shelley :) )
pssst Karen - no link.....
we had a cat part Siamese cat Lulu and when she produced kittens only one lived we called him Paddy but as he grew up we could see thee only siamese"bit" he had was the cross eyes, we renamed him Clarence, he was a lovely cat and when we left Dubai to come back here we brought them both with us , winced a bit at the cost but we couldnt bare to part with them, both died of old age Lulu was 12 and Clarence grew to a big cat and he loved it because over here we could let him go out a wandering, he died at 15, you will love these kittens cross eyed or not.
