schooltime hat song

I just had a flashback to my infant school in Germany where amongst other things we were taught a hat song. I've tried Googling it in every which way possible (I think) no no avail.

Basically it's a silly short song about a bloke with a top hat ("big hat"/high hat" ?) he gets on a bus, takes his hat off and outs in on the seat next to him and a big fat lady gets sits on it and crushes it.
If someone can source it for me, I will be smiling all day long :-)

LMAO...nope, that's not it - nice though it is, thankyou both for posting.
I forgot to mention, though I learnt the song in a school in Germany it wasn't a German song (the school was a British forces school).
No warm woolen stockings Chris (or bright copper kettles) though I did have a pair of lederhosen for some reason.
