Where can I do my Long Distance Swimming Award again?
3 Answers
Some of the more experienced swimmers among you ABers may recall the highest swimming award in existence is the long distance one, or the 5,000 meters in length. I did this many moons ago in 1991, and was given a certificate, as well as a cloth badge to sew on my clothes. I have, however, managed to lose the former, and need to know if I can gain a replacement for this. I understand I may have to do the whole thing again, but can not do this at the same pool as before, as they do not give out this badge any more.
Have any other ABers done this award, and where was this done? Can I send off for this award, or do I have to prove my credentials?
Thanks once again for your helpful replies.
