i had a rag dolly called rosie rags when i was little and felt she was special a one off.
As time went on all the rag dolls flew off the shelf and lots of people had one just like her identical !!!.
I was miffed so went onto the next toy that took my fancy. I had never been one for following trends for toys as a child. Did you ever get caught up in the latest fad as a child if so what was it ?

as a feminist I could only stand and wonder at my failure as a mother. Still, it made her happy on wet days.
The nylon hair and manes all sort of tangled up and mated with each other over time to make a single many-headed monster.
The boy:
Anything that looked like a gun
Anything that could be slammed down like a hammer
Anything that made a loud and irritating noise
Action Man and Transformers
When I was little I had a Cindy doll, to which I eventually added a Paul and her 'little sister' Patch (didn't believe it even then - obviously their kid....)
Then I acquired 'Mary Make Up' who came from the same stable as 'Tressy', who had a very strange anatomy. I liked this little tribe quite a lot - I can't remember going off them, but I must have done at some point.

I hated dolls as a child. I had a golliwog which came everywhere with us - it's in nearly all my childhood photographs. I remember having ONE doll and that was because she had blue hair! I loved the Britain's garden I had, which had a greenhouse, pond wicket fences etc etc. I was going to treat myself to one from eBay recently until I saw the price.
