Is there an mp3 player on the market, for cars, that is hard drive only? I mean without a cd player?

If not can anyone recommend a good mp3 player for the car. I'm fed up with having cds flying around the place!

Loadsa good mp3 players, take your pick, just decide (carefully) how much memory you want and pick one up quite reasonably (get at least 1gb, in my opinion).

I can't see what use a Hard drive in car stereo would be, how would u upload tracks?

Buy the mp3 player. Then go online (there is a famous online auction house, I forget the name) and buy an FM transmitter, or FM sender. Costs about a tenner. These are illegal to sell in the UK though. Plug it into your MP3 player. Tune in your car radio.

I was thinking the player would come with a memory stick or something, so you could transfer between pc and car.

Does the FM transmitter give good quality? Does it sound good?

Yeah, mem sticks can be expensive though.

FM sender is excellent, yes, no noticeable loss of sound quality.

There is a hard disk car stereo available, it has a docking station for the pc and for the car. I saw it once in pc world about 2 years ago, cant remember what it was called though sorry, Personally I use a Zen and FM transmitter sound is good, but frustrating to have to re-tune every few minutes.
