"That was me!" is a phrase that several dozen musicians can yell at their TV. sets whenever retro pop shows show their three minutes of fame. They are the phenomenon known as 'one hit wonders'.

Remember Robbie Van Winkle, sorry, Vanilla Ice Reckoned as a one-hit wonder, he's not actually, having had five UK hits, but remembered only for Ice Ice Baby, being snotty and not a little untruthful about his upbringing, claiming to be the top white (well, blond) rapper and causing mayhem everywhere.By the way, Ice has ditched the cycle shop he's been using to pay the bills and is rumoured to be making (gulp!) a comeback.

Where did Freefall go

Freefall were a band who's name perfectly captured the essential direction of their chart aspirations, although featured vocalist Jan Johnston is still recording, working with dance supremo Paul Oakenfold among others.
