My shed is still standing, Chill - unlike my neighbours. Over on the North West corner of Wales, Britannia Bridge was closed due to some idiot wagon driver ignoring warning signs and got overturned by the gusting winds - caused me to take 2.5 hours to do a 12-15 minute journey last night. Lots of trees uprooted and power lines down over the Gwynedd and Anglesey areas
I've been lucky re: power thus far Welshie, lost it for about 20 minutes yesterday afternoon apparently but nothing since.
By all accounts, those involved in such work have done a splendid job clearing fallen trees etc.
Nothing but praise for them, Chill, working like Trojans around the clock. Winds abated here mid morning so hopefully we'll have power back on at home later this afternoon - further update at 2, I'm told
Luckily not where I am but wonder for how long with having just seen the weather forecast for Friday and the 70mh winds..oh dear. Feel so very sorry for those who are badly affected by this atrocious weather.
I have never had trouble with my Bank Sip, but that does not mean I trust the running of the bank, it was them that started the ball rolling in the first place, you were very lucky there Baldrickeep safe you all as there's more to come on Sat.
