There are many posters being put up in Britain by Muslims saying "free Palestine - stop the killing"

I am as much in favour of a stop to the fighting as I see innocent civilians and children getting killed and injured but am a little confused.

The Palestine government Hamas has been labelled a terrorist organisation by many countries most notably the UK, USA and the UN.

I can guarantee someone will answer this saying Israel this and Israel that, but it seems to me Palestine will only stop being attacked when they either stop harbouring terrorists (which seems odd to say seeing their government ARE terrorists) or their militants fighters stop firing missiles at Israel. Israel has a right to defend itself and retaliate if necessary so the Palestine government are really the ones responsible for causing death to their own people?

I think most people over here would like to see an end to this conflict however, it's much easier said than done. Putting up posters will not stop the missiles, both sides need to talk, as Winston Churchill said chaw chaw better than war war. That may be a misquote but I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong.

Irgun were terrorists. The blew up the King David Hotel killing 91 people most of which were civilians. They captured British soldiers and hung them. But they not only achieved their aim, but the Isreali people elected Begin, a terrorist, as Prime Minister.

While new elections are long overdue in Palestine, the most recently elected democratic government remains that of Hamas (in 2006). Refusing to accept Hamas as a political party is akin to refusing to accept Sinn Féin as one.

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (which form the military wing of Hamas) only fire on Israel out of sheer frustration because in blatant breach of international law Israel continues to support Israeli settlements within Palestinian territories, prevents Palestinians from rebuilding their homes, wrecks the Palestinian economy through preventing the free movement of goods and labour and, while repeatedly acknowledging the right of Palestinians to live in a fully-independent state, does everything possible to prevent that from coming about.

Do you think if the goverment said "Hamas" stop fighting that they would? Should a whole country be responsible for actions of a minority group?Would you stop fighting if your land was stolen? If you was imprisoned and heavily sanctioned? Bombed? Family members killed?

What do the Palestine Government expect? Hello we're Hamas, we are terrorists, please leave us alone so we can quietly plot more terrorist activities to kill as many Jews and "non-believers" as possible across the world. Thanks

Israel should be given military support from everyone to put Palestine out of their misery once and for all.
