What do these different classifications of prisoners mean?
1 Answers
Have just been looking at Florida Department of Corrections website (I just came across it while looking for an address) and it lists its prisoners in four categories: Close, Medium, Minimum and Community. Can anyone tell me what these mean and what the differences are between them?
This was obviously an American website, and refers to both male and female prisoners.
What level of interaction with other prisoners would these five classifications mean? For example, would a prisoner who was under the "maximum" classification spend all their time in solitary confinement or would they get to meet other prisoners of the same classification?
