What's this book

[Pat Martin]

A children's book about a class of children who are the only class in school as all other classes are on a trip. Escaped prisoners take the whole class hostage, except for two boys who have pretended to feel ill so that they can mess about in the cloakroom. The two boys manage to bring about a rescue. I've forgotten the title. I thought the author was Anne Fine but it appers not.
