Afghanistan - a reporting query

This is in no way meant to belittle the tragedy of the combat, but I want to say this for our brave troops.
I do not understand why it is that we only hear of coalition fatalities?
It must be that the Taliban are suffering as we are - but it seems to never be mentioned in the media.
I remember the Falklands war and the nightly TV coverage of John Knott giving us the 'figures' of fatalities - I am sure, for both sides.
Newspaper archives are full of WW1 and 2 ' victories' over the enemy.
Yet we only hear of the weekly return of our dead service personnel.
Whether they should be there or not is a matter for debate and opinion - but surely while they are - we, and they, deserve a full picture. For the sake of public support that they need and deserve, if nothing else.
They are on our side arent they??
