I don't usually post in news but I'm watching it at the moment. The US has made a big thing about asking Libya not to celebrate the anniversary of Magrahi's release, so why is it plastered all over the news here in the UK?

I think you'll find there is a distinction between celebrating something and protesting that it happened in the first place.
