Lib Dems to get kicked back into the long grass?

The Lib Dems did so well last time because of the televised debates, which presented Mr Clegg as a possible PM. I don't think there will be any more of these debates if Labour & Tories have any say!

The Lib Dems have been able to promise all sorts of rubbish because they knew they wouldn't have to put it into practice - the idea of putting up Income Tax, for instance, and the University Fees written promise!

They've got their silly AV referendum, but this will give them a kick in the teeth.

Their bluff has been well and truly called, and their credibility must be approaching zero.

Any Lib Dems out there?

Cameron must be kicking himself for ever agreeing to those TV debates. Without them he would probably have a majority and we wouldn't be having this silly referendum.
The LibDems didn't in fact get the boost they expected from the televised debates. They ended up with less MPs than before. Cameron failed to win the general election all on his own, it wasn't the result of a LibDem surge (because there wasn't one).
