For 68 years the regime in North Korea has subjugated its people in the most horrendous way. Do they have to attack another country for others to finally take any form of action?
Aren't their abuses sufficient for us to take severe measures and isn't it surreal that they are afforded aid when they deliberately starve, torture and slaughter their own people?
Like the former South African regime might it not be possible for ground-roots activism to help pressure governments to abandon the platitudes and, finally, stand up for human rights?

Absolutely. But North Korea has no oil so the USA in particular and the western world in general will do nothing to help these people. Nor will we help Zimbabwe get rid of Mugabe and nor did we do much, if anything, about Pol Pot.

Saddam Hussein had oil, so did Ghadaffi. We certainly looked after them. Saudi has oil, but it also has an extremely powerful army, so the rulers there are our best friends.

Whole thing's corrupt.
Nothing to do with us, why should we take on the world's horrors. We have enough on our doorstep. We have foreign rapists and killers living here whom we cannot deport because they have cats because of the Human Rights, it wants scrapping.
