Ignoring the fact that if he takes the Panama 'dollarisation' option then the Scottish 'pound' will be slaved the the Sterling pound and the Scottish economy will be dependant on the decisions made by the bank of England. So an independant Scotland in name but not in practice, but at least he will have his day of fame, probably followed by centuries of infamy.

if that was what everyone believed, then how is it possible that anyone can say "we're keeping the pound", or indeed anything about what Scottish government policy might look like. what's being postulated is the SNP's view of what independence will look like.
