Naturally, if a party is concerned with their own area rather than the whole of the UK, then they may have a "hidden" agenda to merely spoil things if they don't get their own way. If that scenario is ever possible we will have to see what happens.
The problem with the right wing is that they are prepared to try most anything that that appeals to them in order to give those in business their head; no matter what it inflicts on the majority of decent folk who are, or wish to be, employed. Most do not want hardship today in exchange for the promise of jam tomorrow. If a chancellor is going to take years & years getting things sorted they could at least minimise hardship for the masses.
As for Cameroon being doomed, did he not say he doesn't intend to stand for a third term anyway ? And looking for a third term on the trot win is optimistic anyway. One would need opposition that the public has no faith in, in order to achieve that.

To help provide a security blanket, I bet there's a quiet deal struck with the two Unionist parties who also had a good night, ten seats in total. They would provide a much better edge to the majority question, though 12 isn't a bad place to start from (remember Sinn Fein doesn't show and the Speaker counts as neutral).
