Is this how Labour lost the seat that they held for 23 years, to the Tories ?

Smith has admitted giving Kim Rose, the UKIP candidate documents and advice. Rose said he was making these allegations because "in the cold light of day" he saw the situation was "completely wrong"

And the crime is what?
The leaflet was “totally racist” ???????????????

Doesn't he know that to show concern over mass immigration is no longer racist?

Nice try though Mikey, Labour lost, get over it.

It shouldn't be considered a loss. It's more an opportunity to regroup and reconsider strategies for the future.
Scraping the barrel a bit there don't forget the 'sausage rolls' incident too.. I should expect that that also had a large effect on Labour voters switching sides, it didn't seem like it took much.
struggling to see any sort offence being commited here. Looks like a well fought tactical campagn to me.
Mikey, with headlines like that you could write for the Daily Mail.

Not my headlines Naomi ! This is a problem that the Tories and UKIP has to sort out...perhaps the Police can help them ?
Not your headline, Mikey? Well the article isn't headed "Police Investigate Tory Mp's Help For Ukip In Battle For Marginal Seat", so whose is it? Your dubious talents are wasted here.
// ...perhaps the Police can help //

Stop being stupid. No offence has been committed, this is not a matter for the police.
Question Author
Gromit ..... so why are the Police investigating this then ?
Question Author
Naomi . The headline in my OP was taken verbatim from page 2 of Mondays Guardian. And it quite clearly says thatt the Police are investigating this case. Just reporting the facts !
Look up 'verbatim'.
Question Author
Naomi...Here it is !

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/verbatim

I have nothing further to add to my post at 02:03. This was reported to the Police by the UKIP candidate, not the Labour Party.

Just posting facts Naomi !
noe i'm really puzzled as to what is a 'crime'.
Question Author
LJ...when the Hampshire Constabulary have finished their investigations, we shall know one way or the other.

Mikey, I know what ‘verbatim’ means and hopefully now you’ve looked it up you know too. I don’t know why you bother to keep spinning. Contrary to your apparent assessment of the reader, generally speaking, he/she is not so stupid that your purpose goes unnoticed.
Question Author
Naomi, I haven't made anything up here. I have quoted verbatim from the article on page 2 of yesterdays Guardian.

So its not "my" headline !

I am still not sure why you refuse to accept that ?
Mikey, where does it say, “Police Investigate Tory Mp's Help For Ukip In Battle For Marginal Seat”?
Question Author
Naomi...I think I have found out your mistake. The headline in the newspaper isn't exactly the same as the on-line version. I quoted the actual newspaper, but I can't post that as a link, so used the on-line version instead.

But the body of the link is still correct. I presume you have read it. What do you think about the use of a picture of a Fagin-like character in the UKIP leaflet ?

Quote from Rose, the UKIP leaflet ::::

"Rose said he “drew the line” at the leaflet as he said it looked “more like [it was from the] BNP” and was “totally racist”. A space designed for Rose – who is Jewish and owns a jewellers – to include a photograph of himself is occupied by a photograph of the Oliver Twist character Fagin holding a jewellery box, something Rose said he found insulting"
This should be fun. ;)
