just heard it on news, they were talking about muslims integrating into germany and merkel now has a massive task on her hands to find a solution to the problem, they talked about the problems that faced france and jaques chirac banning of the burhka etc when he was in charge, german security experts are now saying that they believe isis teams are active in germany asfter coming into the country disquised as refugees , wow really !! .

for me , the fact is that muslims cant intergrate fully with western society, i mean look what they are taught in their koran , such verses here - “Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them. Know that God is with the righteous.” Quran 9:123 also here - Quran 8:59-60 / Quran 2:286 / Quran 3:147 / Quran 8:12 /

“Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another…” Quran 5:51

so there you have it in black and white, how to hell can these people fit in with us, i cannot see any solution to the problem.

the christian people both roman catholic, orthodox & protestants & athiests can and are fitting in all over the world to every culture from what i see ( apart from saudi arabia etc - Saudi Arabia allows Christians to enter the country as foreign workers for temporary work, but does not allow them to practice their faith openly. Because of that Christians generally only worship within private homes. Items and articles belonging to religions other than Islam are prohibited. These include Bibles, crucifixes, statues, carvings, items with religious symbols, and others )

Yes , where i live there is limited integration - not just Muslims (Pakistanis/North Africans?) and British whites, as I guess that's what DD is referring to- but also between Btish whites and different Eastern European groups and between Pakistanis and Indians (who seem to dislike each other intensely). I think it works both ways though- whilst I nod and say hello to Asian, possibly Muslim, neighbours I have not made any real effort to integrate and I only chat for long periods to the white British. I have noticed that all the white neighbours use white builders/plumbers and all the Asians use Asian tradesmen.
The local children generally play in separate racial groups too.
It will take a long time and needs effort from both sides to make it work.

You prove your point that the OT has many questionable passages too (I'm surprised folk questioned that); but I think the relevant thing is that no significant numbers of today's Christians nor Jews take that seriously enough to act on or use to justify terrorising activity.

That stated I think many Muslims integrate just fine. Some do not; and the difference of opinion is whether the majority who seem to lead decent lives are as decent as they seem to be, or whether they secretly approve of the atrocities because their religion says to do so. Personally I don't believe the latter, and think it a risky default position to take.

The Chair; It is Christianity which has formed what we know of as civilised society (which is rapidly disintegrating), those old testament quotes have no part in it, though they are in fact kept alive, not by Christianity but by Islam.

The Old Testament has very little to do with Christianity other than being a background to the society in which Christianity came into being. The OT is the history of the Jewish people and the myths upon which Judaism is based. Christianisty is based on the teachings of Jesus which are much more compassionate and user friendly.

the bible and the koran are more or less the same, each has the equivalent of the others loony tunes "rules". Islam is going through it's "Spanish inquisition" phase of intolerance at the moment but the bottom line is all the versions of fairy tales are, well, fairy tales.
